Innovate or Die -- The Transformation Trike



The Transformation Trike is an invention submission to Specialized's innovate or die pedal powered machine contest. It is a multi-use human-powered vehicle designed for use as a cargo hauler and people mover. The cargo capacity is 350 lbs and can accommodate one, two, or three drivers working in tandem.

The Transformation Trike is designed to be rugged and use off the shelf components to ensure longevity.

wow. that is freaking incredible. way to go guys! My only thought is that the wheel width is too narrow for the high center of gravity, but I could be wrong. Modular Momentum!

The trike seem to "stick" to the ground though we didn't go down any hills/corners to really find out.

It certainly has a better CG than my disco trike. That thing can hardly take a downhill corner without riding on two wheels.

Way to go Aaron! You've made some great progress on the trike. The new paint job looks great. Nice cargo rack! Let me know if you need another pair of legs for an upcoming bike move. I bet you'll have no shortage of volunteers to provide human-power.
