Rural Roads with Roger reviewing Neodymics' Cyclemotor
Here is another e-bike review from Roger Bindl of HEM Productions.
Rural Roads reviews the Cyclemotor by Neodymics... it's an electric bike conversion kit by inventor Jeff Radtke, or a bicycle-to-moped upgrade (BMU™) as described on the Neodymics website (www.neodymics.com). It's an intriguing "upgrade" since the entire kit is self contained, and makes it quick to install and remove. At first glance it looks odd, but become evident very quickly that it is very functional. http://www.neodymics.com
In this video Roger does a side by side comparison between driving and e-biking to the place he wants to do traditional bicycling. The options compare well. But what about option three: regular biking to the place you want to regular bike?
So far that defines my overall concern with electric bikes. Does the added weight and complexity actually hinder the ride so it's not worth the trouble? At what point do you stop bothering with pedals just have an lightweight electric motorcycle (which is a great commuter solution)?
